Lily James flew relatively under the radar before her role in Pam & Tommy. Sure, she enjoyed the odd blockbuster hit, who could forget her turn as Cinderella in Disney’s remake? And then there’s Mama Mia: Here We Go Again!. But had she ever made quite such an impression on the red carpet pre-2022? This year Lily is pulling out all the stops and this weekend’s 94th Academy Awards at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre – the Oscars – were no exception.
Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Lily lead the charge on the red carpet in a glimmering pink Versace number – Lily has grown particularly close to the brand and Donatella herself of late. Hair stylist Danilo Dixon added waves and root lift, while make-up artist to the stars Hung Vanngo set about applying a warm smoky eye, a rosy hint of blush, a pink lip and an enviable level of glow.
And it’s that glow that made the look. It took Lily’s make-up from the sunny Hollywood balcony where her glam team captured those pre-event pictures, to the red carpet and Oscars awards ceremony itself. The product behind said glow? A humble high street favourite. Meet Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Sugar Glow Kit, £41 – a palette comprised of four radiance-boosting highlighters in glimmering shades of pearl, powder pink, peach and bronze.
