At SUR, friendship dynamics are constantly shifting. Katie Maloney and Lala Kent are hinting at a breakup ahead of the Vanderpump Rules season 10 premiere.
“Are you and Lala still on good terms? On a recent episode of her podcast “You’re Gonna Love Me,” Katie, 36, read a question from a fan and said, “Vibes are off.”
She continued by saying, “I agree.” It’s clear that something’s off.
Lala, 32, then responded to her costar’s remarks on her podcast, “Give Them Lala.”
She began, “So many people inquired about [Katie].” Naturally, I wondered, “Why are people asking this?” I now know that Katie responded, “The vibes are definitely off,” when someone asked her this question on her podcast. So, I guess the vibes aren’t right.
Following Lala’s cohost’s question, “Is that news to you?” She revealed that Katie and she had a heated argument over their DMs, probably because Katie didn’t wish her castmate a happy birthday on January 16th.
“Well, not so much after the DMs I received from her the other day. Not really! Lala laughed and said, “I’d say a little off.” However, as I previously stated, I have a lot going on. The least of my concerns are with that. Additionally, I wish her a very happy birthday. Because it was MLK Day, I had forgotten that it was her birthday. I spaced it perfectly. I had Ocean, my daughter, on MLK Day, and she was experiencing illness. So there you have it.
Lala and Katie were extremely close going into the filming of Pump Rules season 10, which premieres in February. The former hostess stated that she was firmly on the side of the ex-SURver in her divorce from Tom Schwartz.
Lala told Us about Katie in July 2022, “She’s one of those friends where we can sit on the phone for hours and just talk about what it’s like to have these new lives.” We are both back in apartment living and thinking, “It’s single girl summer.” Therefore, I’m just happy to have her. I mean, you never want to see that, so I’m really sad that her marriage ended. However, it happened to the two most perfect people because it was so simple because they continue to be friends. You know, if that makes sense? You weren’t required to pick a side. There was no ultimate betrayal to the point where one could say, “You’re dead to me.” Therefore, yes, definitely relying on one another.”
Lala was quick to criticize Raquel Leviss at BravoCon in October 2022, further demonstrating her loyalty to Katie, following the TomTom co-owner’s summer romance. Despite the fact that Lala and Katie did not elaborate on their disagreement, some viewers have questioned whether Scheana Shay is involved. Fans will also see Lala’s friendship with Scheana rekindled in season 10, and the two women even celebrated Christmas together with their daughters. In contrast, Katie and Scheana haven’t been on the same page in recent months.
