Rebecca Corbin-Murray has truly shaken up Lily James’s style approach for her Pam and Tommy era. Unabashed sexiness is now top priority, which is only right for the woman embodying Pamela Anderson, perhaps the ultimate ’90s bombshell. “We chose a wardrobe that would reflect that body confidence as well as a nod towards the era and the role,” Corbin-Murray told in February.
James’s new “smoke show” wardrobe includes some jaw-dropping looks, which Corbin-Murray aptly described as “an antithesis to Covid gloom and tracksuit bottoms”. Most recently, the actor attended Milan Fashion Week wearing body-sculpting pistachio separates from Hervé Léger. James, as seen on Corbin-Murray’s Instagram, was a “pistachio gelato” vision in a cut-out bralette, matching skirt and gloves, paired with Gianvito Rossi heels and jewellery from Leda Madera.
Days earlier, she lit up the city in a Versace look to attend Donatella’s autumn/winter 2022 show. James took her place on the front row alongside Kylie Minogue wearing embellished pastel separates and a baby-pink biker jacket from Versace’s pre-fall 2022 collection. It was all in the details: James’s miniskirt featured a strap that traced her exposed torso, adorned with a gilded Medusa motif.
This isn’t the actor’s first Versace outing. For the LA premiere of Pam and Tommy, she turned up the heat in a spliced look from Atelier Versace’s Americana-inspired autumn/winter 2021 collection. She took to the carpet in a glittered silver cage dress with a cut-out bubblegum pink blazer layer and metallic platform sandals.
