Although they were considered quite the fashion faux pas from the early aughts onwards, army cargo pants have made a comeback. Seen on the It-girls – Rihanna, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid are literally obsessed with them – the divisive trousers, if styled correctly, can be a serious asset to any off-duty wardrobe. Case in point: Emily Ratajkowski wearing a baggy camo pair over the weekend.
Spotted on the snowy streets of New York City, the 30-year-old model and My Body author wore a slouchy pair of camouflage printed cargos, a hooded red bomber jacket by Moose Knuckles, and chunky normcore trainers. Ratajkowski added her favourite fuzzy bucket hat by British milliner Emma Brewin, which is another wardrobe essential the model just can’t seem to live without.
Of course, this isn’t the first time EmRata has worn a pair of army cargos. Spotted previously in an array of cuts, colours and shapes – from low-waisted, form-fitting dark camo pairs, to an all-olive pair in three-quarter length – Ratajkowski just can’t get enough of the utilitarian-style trousers.
