The ultimate betrayal. Some celebrities have endured their fair share of heartbreak over the years — including highly publicized cheating scandals.
Tristan Thompson made headlines twice for cheating on Khloé Kardashian — whom he began dating in 2016 — over the course of their relationship. The Cleveland Cavaliers player was spotted cozying up to two women in April 2018 while Kardashian was pregnant with their daughter, True. Later that month, Us Weekly confirmed that Thompson had been unfaithful to the reality star since November 2017 with at least five different women.
However, Thompson was present for their daughter’s birth, which was documented on season 15 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Us broke the news in May 2018 that the duo were “fully back together” despite Thompson’s infidelity. The Revenge Body host defended her decision to reunite with the NBA star in November 2018.
“His mistake was obviously humiliating and heartbreaking but I do believe that I am strong enough to endure anything,” she tweeted at the time. “I choose to find a life lesson in every situation, even the nasty ones. Tristan has grown from this but most importantly he is a beautiful father to our sweet baby True.”
The athlete and Kardashian split for a second time when he was seen kissing Kylie Jenner‘s then-BFF, Jordyn Woods, at a party in February 2019.
Another cheating scandal that made waves involved Kristen Stewart, whose romance with Robert Pattinson‘s romance hit a roadblock when photos surfaced in July 2012 of the actress and director Rupert Sanders packing on the PDA. The Seberg star issued a public apology to Pattinson, whom she began dating in 2009.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” she said at the time. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Sanders, for his part, publicly apologized to his then-wife, Liberty Ross, and their two children, Skyla and Tennyson.
“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family,” the English director said in a statement to Us. “My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
Ross filed for divorce from Sanders in January 2013. Stewart and Pattinson reconciled but the Twilight costars ultimately called it quits for good the same month.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo
Just days after the Maroon 5 singer’s wife confirmed she was expecting their third child in September 2022, Instagram model Sumner Stroh posted a TikTok video claiming she’d had an affair with Levine that lasted “for about a year.”
The “Payphone” signer addressed the allegations via his Instagram Story the following day.
“I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family,” he wrote.
Two additional women — Alyson Rosef and Maryka — later came forward with screenshots of alleged flirty messages the Grammy Award winner had sent them.
Although Prinsloo did not publicly comment on the infidelity allegations, she was seen smiling as she and Levine picked their daughters up from school later that week in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.
Kevin Hunter and Wendy Williams
The Wendy Williams Show host claimed in her 2001 memoir, Wendy’s Got the Heat, that her husband had cheated on her, prompting her to hire a private investigator to trail him. Sixteen years later, Hunter was accused of cheating on Williams again when he was spotted out and about in New Jersey with massage therapist Sharina Hudson. Reports surfaced in 2017 that the TV producer and Hudson had been romantically involved for more than a decade, which he and Williams denied. But in March 2019, Hudson gave birth to a baby amid widespread speculation that Hunter is the father. A month later, the TV personality filed for divorce from Hunter, with whom she shares son Kevin Jr., after more than 21 years of marriage.
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
The Cleveland Cavaliers player was caught cheating on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star just days before she gave birth to their first child, True, in April 2018. While the reality star decided to give the professional athlete a second chance for the sake of their daughter, they ultimately split in February 2019 after he was caught “making out” with Kylie Jenner‘s BFF, Jordyn Woods, at a party in Los Angeles.
The pair’s relationship was further tested in December 2021 when fitness model Maralee Nichols welcomed son Theo and sued Thompson for child support. A paternity test later revealed that the basketball star was the child’s father.
In July 2022, Us confirmed that a surrogate was already carrying Kardashian and Thompson’s second child when news of the paternity scandal broke. Another insider told Us at the time that the twosome had “not spoken since December outside of coparenting matters.”
The estranged exes welcomed their second child via surrogate one month later.
Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump
The president’s son met singer Aubrey O’Day on the season 5 set of his father’s reality series Celebrity Apprentice in 2011. “Things started up with Aubrey and Don Jr. toward the end of the taping,” a source close to the singer told Us Weekly. According to multiple sources, the two carried on an affair from late 2011 until March 2012 until wife Vanessa found emails between him and the former Danity Kane band member. The married couple stayed together but announced they were divorcing in March 2018. “After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways,” they said in a statement to Us on March 19. “We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”

However, a source told Us that the marriage had ended months ago.

Bombshell! Sandra Bullock and Jesse James’ marriage imploded in March 2010 (just after Bullock’s Oscar win) when it was revealed that the motorcycle mogul had cheated on the actress with tattooed stripper Michelle McGee and several other women. “I never shied away from anything I did. I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men,” James told Men’s Journal in May 2011. “To be honest, it was unfair for me to even be in a relationship.”
So much for a clean image. Tiger Woods sparked one of the biggest scandals of all time when it was revealed that he cheated on wife Elin Nordegren with scores of women. The Swedish-born former model eventually divorced the golfer in 2010. “[Nordegren] still despises Tiger — she definitely doesn’t like having Lindsey around her kids,” a source revealed to Us in July 2013.
The Late Show host revealed in 2009 that he had sex with women who worked for him on Late Show With David Letterman, including his assistant Stephanie Birkitt, while still married to his wife Regina Lasko. “I have no one to blame but myself,” the comedian later told Oprah Winfrey during a January 2013 interview. The affair that nearly ended a presidency. The Lewsinky scandal heard around the world. In 1998, a sexual relationship between President Bill Clinton and his 22-year-old White House intern, Monica Lewsinky, was exposed during Clinton’s first term. Lewinsky claimed to have had sexual encounters with Clinton on nine different occasions from November 1995 to March 1997. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian

In 2008, supermodel Christie Brinkley’s husband of 12 years Peter Cook admitted to having an affair with his 19-year-old assistant Diana Bianchi. The couple eventually divorced in June 2010. “It was like I was kicked off my own bus while it was moving full speed,” the Grammy winner told Redbook magazine in April 2011 of the affair. Twain then remarried Marie-Anne’s ex-husband Frederic Thiebaud in 2011.

Weiner allegedly sent the messages under the alias “Carlos Danger.” Weiner remains married to Abedin.

The estranged couple have two children together.
Where’s Demi? Ashton Kutcher got caught red handed in October 2011 when he had a sexual encounter at the San Diego Hard Rock Hotel with local blonde Sara Leal and her pal in a $2,555-a-night suite — the same day as Kutcher and Demi Moore’s sixth wedding anniversary. “Ashton told them he was separated from Demi,” a source revealed to Us. The couple filed for divorce in December 2012, and Kutcher has since moved on with his former That ’70s Show costar Mila Kunis.
David Boreanaz revealed in May 2010 that he cheated on his wife Jaime Bergman with TV personality (and Tiger Woods‘ most well-known mistress) Rachel Uchitel. No, I don’t. I’m a fighter. I’m a lover.”

Woody Allen and Mia Farrow
A scandal that once rocked Hollywood. Legendary director Woody Allen shocked everyone when it was revealed in 1992 that he was romantically involved with Soon-Yi Previn — his stepdaughter, and the adopted daughter of his longtime love Mia Farrow. Allen never officially adopted Previn, and the two eventually married in 1997. The couple have two children together.
Balthazer Getty and Sienna Miller
Just sweeping it under the rug. Balthazer Getty made headlines in mid-2008 when it was revealed that he was cheating on his wife Rosetta with fellow actress Sienna Miller. Years later, however, Rosetta spoke out in the October 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar on why she eventually forgave her husband. “Here’s the bottom line: It was a very challenging time for everybody involved,” she said. “But I loved and missed my family too much not to make it work.”
The NBA player was arrested for allegedly raping a 19-year-old woman at a Colorado hotel during his stay in July 2003. Though he settled a civil suit, his wife Vanessa filed for divorce in December 2011, citing irreconcilable differences. In January 2013, the estranged couple reconciled.

Since then, Hawke and his new wife have also welcomed two children together.
